I had the incredible opportunity to visit MWC Barcelona 2025 alongside Imma Grau-Corral. This visit was an inspiring experience, offering a firsthand look at the latest technological advancements shaping digital health, AI-driven personalization, and behavioral design.

One of the most exciting moments was stopping by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) stand, where I explored innovative research and projects that bridge academia and industry. Seeing how digital education and mHealth are evolving through AI, gamification, and data-driven interventions reaffirmed my passion for advancing healthcare through technology.

A huge thank you to the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya team for their dedication and inspiring work!
I look forward to future collaborations between Fundación iSYS, UOC, and Doctorats Industrials.

Let’s see if next year we get the opportunity to present our project on gamified AI-powered health interventions!

Reflections from the Organizing Committee

As a member of the organizing committee, I had the incredible opportunity to help shape and participate in the mHealth BCN Conference 2025, organized by Fundación iSYS ,  with the colaboration of eHealth Center of Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), the Sociedad Catalana de Medicina Familiar y Comunitaria (CAMFiC) and the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, within the framework of BCN Health Innovation Week, led by Biocat and the BioRegion of Catalonia.

This year’s conference was a remarkable gathering of experts, innovators, and healthcare professionals, all committed to exploring the present and future of digital health. The discussions throughout the day highlighted key challenges and opportunities, focusing on:

  • The role of digital health in enhancing well-being and quality of life.
  • The importance of active aging and digital tools that support it.
  • Bridging the digital literacy gap for both users and professionals, preparing for the present—not just the future.
  • Developing user-centered applications, ensuring usability, utility, and long-term adherence.
  • AI’s impact on digital health, its benefits, risks, and potential inequalities.
  • The ethical and responsible use of health data, ensuring accessibility and fairness.

Reflections on the Future of Digital Health

Being part of the conference organization allowed me to see first-hand the complexity of digital health transformation. It is clear that for mHealth to be truly inclusive and effective, we need a multidisciplinary approach, one that embraces technological ethics, unbiased AI, and user-centric innovation.

Our mission goes beyond cost optimization; it is about empowering users and healthcare professionals, making digital health a tool for improving lives rather than a technological barrier.

While digital health has come a long way, we are still at the beginning of this journey. There is much work to be done, countless opportunities ahead, and an exciting evolution yet to unfold.

Grateful to have been part of this inspiring event and looking forward to the road ahead!

Experiencing the Boston ecosystem in Harvard University this week in combination with MIT experts, cannot be more inspiring.

I’ve always believed that dreams are the fuel for progress and today I am living proof of that. The opportunity to experience these legendary institutions, interact with brilliant minds, great professionals and immerse myself in the heart of innovation is a moment I’ll cherish forever. Understanding AI projects, quantum computing, nano-technology, bio-tech innovation????…you feel that the future really starts here!

These experiences have not only inspiring me but also reinforced the power of learning, collaboration and persistence. It’s a reminder that when you surround yourself with greatness, you unlock new possibilities within yourself.

Feeling incredibly grateful to Lead to Change and Xavier Marcet to keep pushing the boundaries and working toward building a future where we can all thrive. ????

Reflexió sobre l’aprenentatge i competències:

El II Congrès Internacional de Psicologia de la Música i la Interpretació Musical va tenir lloc el passat novembre a Sevilla i vaig tenir el plaer de poder assistir d’oient a algunes conferències. El congrés tractava de posar el focus en els avanços en neurociència, salut mental i benestar comunitari. La investigació que realitze actualment gira entorn als dos últims punts, de manera que poder assistir va suposar poder posar el focus en algunes qüestions que no havia pogut tenir en compte fins al moment i ampliar-ne d’altres.

Els cinc principals eixos sobre els quals girava el congrés van ser: la psicologia de l’educació musical, la psicologia de la interpretació musical, la salut mental en músics, la intervenció socio-comunitària a través de la música i la neurociència i cognició musical.

Una de les intervencions amb més rellevància va ser la del psicòleg clínic Guillermo Dalia, especialitzat en intèrprets musicals. En aquesta conferència es posava de manifest la vinculació entre la professió de músic i els alts nivells d’ansietat, en comparació amb la població normal, sovint degut a l’estrès lligat a l’ambient laboral.

Les dades, comentaris i reflexions d’aquesta i altres intervencions, m’han resultat enriquidores a nivell personal i professional. Un esdeveniment motivador i que m’empeny, sense dubte, a seguir investigant en la línia de la psicologia i la música.

El jueves 14 de noviembre se celebró en el Paraninfo de la UB en Barcelona el Women 360º . Con el propósito de “compartir conocimientos”, Women 360° Congress ha conseguido contribuir a la mejora de la salud femenina y convertirse en un referente en debates y temáticas de interés público.

El Women 360⁰ congress nace en 2014 para ofrecer información y contribuir a fomentar los hábitos saludables entre las personas y principalmente la salud de la mujer.

Women 360⁰ Congress es un espacio de comunicación e intercambio de conocimiento que pone en valor el talento femenino.

Este año 2024 con la 10ª edición, la sesión se centra en la salud senior, donde podemos compartir conocimientos de salud general.

En esta conferencia asisto como ponente en la mesa de Salud Senior. Es importante conocer cómo vamos evolucionando, en las diferentes etapas de la vida y cómo la salud física y mental se relacionan en estos estados. Mi foco, en salud bucal y salud general.

Os esperamos en el Women 360°Congress para hablar de salud, de cuidaros y sí, de sentirnos bien.

On September 20, 2024, the ministry of public health in Cameroon was organizing its 2nd symposium for research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in Cameroon. One year before, I had participated to the first edition. This 2nd edition was again an opportunity to present preliminary work on my thesis. I usually see that opportunity as a networking session and an opportunity to connect to key stakeholders and beneficiaries of my work. There, I presented the preliminary results of the systematic review and the draft of the marketing plan for the dissemination of the WHO Skin NTDs app.

The main recommendation from the participants at the symposium was to conduct a usability testing of the app in Cameroon to capture context-specific perception about the app in Cameroon.
