I was working on a paper and the assignments have allowed me to make progress in writing and improving the article. I’ve learned how to identify high-impact and reputable journals by analyzing key indicators such as impact factor, quartiles, indexing databases, and open access policies. The course has also helped me understand the risks of predatory journals and the importance of aligning the scope of a journal with the focus of my work. Overall, it has strengthened my ability to critically assess publication options and increased my confidence in making informed, ethical, and effective decisions about disseminating my research.
